When an image is a story by Pedro Mesquita

Hardship and joy. Victory and loss. Peace and war. Pedro Mesquita has witnessed all through his life as a radio reporter. But words alone could not help him tell the stories he wanted to tell.

Then came photography. With his lens, Pedro Mesquita seeks, above all, details and listen to people, to capture the states of the soul. His photos focus on faces, gestures and expressions. Even when they do not appear front-facing portrayed, what they see and feel is always present. From these photos, Pedro Mesquita’s self-portrait is also constructed.
