Strong creative program at BERLIN PHOTO WEEK

The presale for BERLIN PHOTO WEEK has begun! A day ticket costs 10€ for early bookers and includes access to the main event location Haubentaucher and the Montreux Jazz Festival exhibition by Michael Agel, presented by Leica and Whitewall on the grounds of Cassiopeia; the Bruce Gilden Show at Haubentaucher; as well as all lectures at the BERLIN PHOTO WEEK Conference, which features inspiring topics on all three days. Off we go! Photo enthusiasts are looking forward in hot anticipation to the third edition of BERLIN PHOTO WEEK, which starts on 26 August with its exclusive Opening Night at the R.A.W.-Gelände in Berlin-Friedrichshain. A creative photo festival will once again take place in Berlin at the end of August.

In addition, discussions hosted by the BFF Akademie will feature Annette Kicken – curator and director of Galerie Kicken Berlin, Dr. Thomas Köhler – director of the Berlinische Galerie, and Prof. Dr. Markus Hilgert – secretary general of Kulturstiftung der Länder, among others, who will discuss the topic “How can photography get into the gallery?” moderated by Christian Klant.

The workshop program at BERLIN PHOTO WEEK also continues to grow, supported by the organizational team of Photo+Adventure Duisburg. For the entire duration of BERLIN PHOTO WEEK photographers of all levels can book a workshop spot to explore a variety of topics: from light painting for beginners with ZOLAQ – powered by Olympus – to boxing or nocturnal swimming pool photography at Haubentaucher, or photowalks through Berlin. The creative diversity of the R.A.W.-Gelände and the city of Berlin make the workshop program a very special experience.

Another highlight is the 50m-long open air exhibition on Revaler Strasse, created in cooperation with the Berlin Senate. For this exhibition, young photographers in Berlin are invited to send in their photographs depicting their experiences from the summer of ‘21. Entries can be submitted until July 26 by email at: or on Instagram.
