Dimension conversation by Gigi Chung

Inspired by Deconstructivism in architecture, Gigi Chung’s works explore the geometric juxtaposition of various building edifices. These surfaces contain unifying patterns and elements which create pulsating visual rhythms, facilitate eye movements within the image. Depart from existing reality, these monochromatic architectural abstracts create fragmented and asymmetric compositions independent of time and space. The intricate studies of lines and forms invite viewers to experience the unique spatial relationship of a built environment.

“Good architecture is like a good therapy session, a good marriage, a good poem – gently and almost invisibly allowing you to be you, as flawed and as beautiful as you are.” – Robert Sullivan

“Geometry has two great treasures; one is the Theorem of Pythagoras; the other, the division of a line into extreme and mean ratio. The first we may compare to a measure of gold; the second we may name a precious jewel.” ― Johannes Kepler
