California Fantasy by Hasselblad Heroine Gigi Chung

Gigi Chung is a California-based fine-art photographer and a Hasselblad Heroine. She specializes in creating minimalistic architectural abstracts and choreographed urban spaces. Inspired by the desert colors of Southern California, her series “California Fantasy” reinterprets the vibrant hues of orange, ochre, green and purple in bold sculptural forms. Colors flow in space while the play of light continues. These images invite viewers to experience the warm, soothing California sun.

Her recent accolades include International Photography Awards 2022 Architecture Abstract Category Winner, One Shot Color Top 5 Jury Pick, 17th Pollux Awards Abstract and Architecture Category Winners and Tokyo International Foto Awards Portfolio Silver Winner. She is a contributor to Royal Photographic Society Women In Photography “We Are”Magazine, Medium Format Magazine, Jaamzin Magazine and Tagree Magazine. She is now serving on the jury panels of London Photography Awards and European Photography Awards.
